How do I cancel a release?
If you are submitting a release and decide not to proceed, you just have to click "
Delete Release" on the upper right of the page (next to your artist name). This option cancels the release at any point in time during the submission process and removes it.
If your release status is
"Draft", you can cancel the release by deleting it on your releases page through your
Catalog. Just sign in to your
trac account, click
"Catalog" at the top of your account homepage, then look for the release that you wish to cancel the submission. Next to the release status draft, click the ellipsis (3 dots) then select
"Delete Release".
A pop-up page like below will appear for you to confirm the action and to remind you that the action is irreversible once done. You can click,
"Yes" to proceed or
"No", if not.
If your release status is
"Released", it must be taken down to remove them from all DSPs (Digital Streaming Platforms) they were initially distributed to. Just sign in to your
trac account, click "Catalog" at the top of your account homepage, then look for the release that you wish to takedown. Next to the release status "Released", click the ellipsis (3 dots) then select
"Takedown" and follow the prompts.
