When will my analytics update?

Analytics is made up of streaming data we receive from DSP's. You can find this through the analytics page in your trac account. Please give up to 7 days after your release date for your data to start populating and be displayed in your analytics page. After that, the page should update daily reports depending on what we receive from your DSPs. The stream reports from the day before are uploaded every morning the next day.

Some DSPs don't deliver daily stream reports as they only deliver monthly. We don't show those streams in the analytics section, but they're available in the earnings reports. Only Apple, Deezer, SoundCloud, Uma, Spotify, and Tiktok have a streaming data breakdown.

If you are comparing your trac analytics to Spotify for artist analytics, please know that Spotify for Artists provides all streams, including those that do not generate royalties. On the other hand, your Spotify royalty reporting only shows royalty-bearing streams.
  • As a result, there are a few main reasons why your Royalty Reports may not match the number of streams on Spotify For Artists:
    1. Artificial streams which are removed from the royalty calculation but may still be included in the stream count on Spotify for Artists
    2. Streams from trials are still included in the stream count on Spotify for Artists
    3. Platform stream counts also include “linked tracks”, which are plays routed through other song versions that have since been taken down.
  • Please note that Artificial streams may not account for the entire difference as SFA displays all non-royalty bearing streams, including those from free trials and “linked tracks”.
  • Spotify for Artists streams are also recorded in real-time, and they are provided purely for analytical and information purposes. Streams on Spotify for Artists should not be considered for royalty purposes due to the reasons above.
