How do I create a trac account?

Welcome to trac! We're happy to have you. You'll like it here, and your music is in good hands.

1. Go to this page to sign up. We encourage you to create an account using an email and password. This way, if you ever lose access to your email or social media account, you will be able to easily recover your account using the reset password option.

 

2. Please fill out the confirmation code sent to your email. You may check the other of your email if it doesn't show in your email inbox e.g. spam folder or junk folder.

3. Please type in your artist/band name & your role. If you skip this part, you may resume it and proceed to step 5.

4. Once created, you will have access to your trac dashboard (see below image) and begin setting up your account.

 

 

5. To add an artist profile, click the icon on the top right hand corner of the webpage next to the bell icon.

 

 

6. Click “add artist”

 

7. Type the artist's name and its role

 

8. If the artist doesn’t have a Spotify for Artist, click “create new Spotify profile for…” Otherwise, please make sure to add any pre-existing artist profiles on streaming platforms to your artist's trac profile before releasing music. This ensures your releases get mapped to those profiles accurately.

 

9. Follow the rest of the instructions until it confirms your new artist is added.
