What if my release contains "Explicit Content"?
Some releases include content that is considered "explicit". This includes, but is not limited to:
- Profane language (curse words)
- Content that is sexual in nature
- Content that is violent in nature
- Content that is offensive in nature
If your release contains material that is considered explicit, please make sure you select "Yes, explicit" from the drop-down menu of the release flow. See below:
NOTE: If your release is instrumental, in most cases it can't be classified as explicit.
However, there are 2 exceptions with instrumental tracks when you should tag them as explicit:

- your track has an explicit title
- your instrumental track contains an audio tag that would be considered explicit as it contains explicit language
If you are including a Parental Advisory Label in your artwork, please ensure that it is the Parental Advisory Label used by the RIAAonly:
Artwork cannotinclude movie-rating labels used by the Motion Picture Association (such as PG-13, R, etc.) or any self-made explicit content labels.
