Why was my release taken down?
We know that it can be frustrating when you notice your release is no longer live on the DSPs. We want to make sure all of our users are aware of a few possible reasons why this has happened.
First, if you haven't already done so, please include your
Spotify ID in your account - even if you're not uploading any songs to Spotify! If you require any assistance, please reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help.
Second, occasionally releases come back with reports of
artificial streams which may not always be 100% under the control of the artist/label submitting them (more on that below). Lastly, sometimes releases can get flagged for using material that doesn't belong either intentionally or unintentionally – but rest assured we take extra steps here at TRAC to ensure everything is good to go before distribution takes place!
Speaking specifically about those artificial streams: lately, advertisers offering “paid playlist promotion” services have been targeting new and upcoming artists via Instagram DM's promising higher streaming numbers as a result; however, these entities often use fraudulent streaming bots instead which means they are taking money from legitimate streaming platforms without providing real value for artists & labels like yourselves who depend on organic growth through real fans listening regularly & engaging organically with their music over time… So just keep an eye out for anyone making promises too good (or too easy!) to be true because chances are they’re up to something fishy 🐟🤔😉
To know more about artificial streams please read our article
here.
Fraudulent submission/Flagged - In some cases, your release could have been flagged for using material that does not belong to you. This is why we take extra steps to ensure that you have permission to distribute any purchased beats - so it is clear of problems later on.
Anyway – thanks again everyone & don’t hesitate to reach us directly should anything else arise along the way ✌️
